Day 9, part 2: Moab, Utah
As expected, our trip into Arches National Park by car started with a wait.
We had timed-entry reservations, which means that we had to enter the park between noon and 1pm but then could stay as long as we wanted to once we were inside the park.
Ada loved the light climbing, the rocks, not so much the heat.
Zach: Look at my little future lawyer in front of the Courthouse towers!
Ada: You mean future geologist.
Zach: That’s exactly what a lawyer would say.
After we left Arches, we found dinner in Moab, which is population 5k-ish but has four Thai restaurants. We also hit up the Rock Shop, where Ada added many pounds of rocks to her rapidly growing collection.
Today’s title from “Blackberry Winter” by James McMurtry.
