things I’m enjoying about pandemic lockdown

  • the rebranding of sweatpants to “joggers”
  • hosting a Friday night online musician party which I have named “band practice” for Emotion to Quash, the band Zach and I have been joking about forming since 2016
  • (which I have to practice for, and it turns out I can still play guitar and sing)
  • finally using my DeskCycle again after gathering dust since I left my last job in 2018
  • my kid reaaallly getting into Legos now finally
  • a sleep schedule that most closely resembles the summers of 1997 through 2001 which were freakin’ awesome
  • bringing Big Amanda Shires Energy to the world by wearing crazy sunglasses in every video chat meeting I have
  • bedlunch
  • there are no rules now, I have a blog again
